Stake conference talk

The verse I am ponderizing this week fits right in with the topic I was given to speak on at Stake conference: "Always Remember Him." Since everything typifies Christ, I only have to look around me and consider how this proves true! My brain really appreciates a good metaphor... Helps me visualize things that don't always seem very concrete!

Assurance

I have felt this assurance that Christ's love indeed redeems me from hell!

Getting back on the bandwagon

Ooooops... Kinda failed to pick and post new ponderizers for a few weeks... But I'm a big believer in picking myself up from a fall (fail) and shaking off the dust and keeping on keeping on!! So here it goes!

Goodly Parents Teach

How wise that Nephi packed so much wisdom into this very first verse (said to be the most often read!)

I am, like Nephi, grateful for my goodly parents... I'm also wanting to BE a goodly parent! Nephi clues me in to one of my greatest duties: teaching my children. Yeah, they need food, diaper changes, and rides to friends' houses, but my job isn't done until I've passed along knowledge!

Establish truth

The Book of Mormon is more than just the keystone of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints! I recognize it as the necessary keystone to my faith that there exists a God in heaven!!! I'm so grateful he saw fit to allow the Book of Mormon to be part of my life! I trust in God as my loving Father in Heaven that the feeling he sends me as I ponder the scriptures is the sort of evidence that my heart needs to know he is there!!!
